Bonjour. Quoi de neuf?
I’m taking French class at school, and learned that today.. If you don’t know what it means, it translates to “Hello. What’s up?” But anyways, now onto “The Sick Curse.” I’ll tell you what about it, but as if it’s a story. This is a true story, and because of it, I started becoming sick as of yesterday morning, exactly when I woke up at 6 am for school. Exactly. Note: Let this story be a lesson to you.. Trust me.
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Tori. She woke up one morning, and noticed that her throat was sore. She ignored it and thought it’ll get better on it’s own like normally. Was she a fool? Yes. Tori was a fool. When she talked that day, her voice was raspy.
Soon school passed away quick, and then time to go back to sleep. The next day, she woke up at 6 am again, and her sore throat was still there. When she got on the bus to go to school, she started talking to her friend. Right away, when Tori said the first word, she noticed that she’s starting to lose her voice. As the day at school went on, her voice started going away more and more until the point of when she tried to talk, it was just a squeak and she couldn’t say a word.
But then, it came back. She talked while she could, and she blabbed about things.. Then her voice went “POOF!” Gone, again. She didn’t talk for a whole class period about for fourty-five minutes. When class was over, she could talk almost talk normally again. The whole day it was the same pattern – Tori lost her voice, then it came back, she lost it again, and it came back, over and over.
Eventually, she went home. Her voice was still raspy, but it wasn’t near to normal.. Her mom laughed at her, thinking that she’ll have peace and quiet (Isn’t my mom nice? xD) because one of her kids wouldn’t be able to talk. She told Tori to keep on talking to lose her voice. Then, later on she was on her laptop, on TheACP chat, and then she remembered last week when her dad told her something when she told him something. She flashback to last weekend at the cabin, sitting at the table eating breakfast.
They were talking on how her dad was sick the day before, and I just said “Well, I haven’t been sick since about a year or more.” Then her dad warned Tori about, what she liked to call, “The Sick Curse.” He told Tori, “I heard when you say you haven’t been sick since a while, you all of sudden get sick a few days later. It’s just something people say, but I don’t know if it’s true.” Tori just rolled her eyes, smiled, and said “Yeah, right, dad. It’s probably something not true. Like when you open an umbrella in a house, you’ll have bad luck.” She sat and ate her food, then she had an idea. Tori bursted out saying, “I DON’T WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL! I HAVEN’T BEEN SICK SINCE A YEAR OR MORE!” Her dad just laughed and left the table to put his dishes away.
Then she thought, that’s what this might be.. “The Sick Curse” has striked Tori. Big time.
THE END.
When I had that flashback, it was actually about an hour or two ago.. Now, I’m laying in bed again, coughing, being as quiet as I can, and dealing with a sore throat. Oh, fun. Please don’t make the mistake, I did. Now I’m starting to wonder if “The Sick Curse,” is truly, well, true. Unless I got sick from being around too much people at school, after being away for 3 months over the summer. I don’t know, though. So many questions, yet so many unanswered..
Besides that, I’m sorry I rarely post now.. I’m not going to make any promises, but I’m going to try my best to post whenever I can. Well, toodles!
